What does Scania ACC fault code 40990 mean?
Fault in LIN communication with sun sensor T82.
What causes Scania DTC 40990?
- Fault in the cable harness between the control unit and the sun sensor. - Faulty sun sensor.
What are the symptoms?
- The climate system cannot adjust the cab climate according to the intensity of the sun. The actual cab temperature may therefore differ from the set temperature. - Components on the LIN bus are connected to the control unit in series via harness-to-harness connectors. A fault in components previously connected to the cable harness can therefore affect the functionality of components connected later.
How to fix Scania ACC fault code 40990?
- Check the cable harness between the control unit and sun sensor.
- If no fault is found, renew the sun sensor.
