What does Scania ALLISON fault code 291 mean?

Voltage to accelerator pedal sensor is too high.

What causes Scania DTC 291?

The control unit has detected that the voltage to the accelerator pedal sensor has been higher than 4.75 V for more than 5 seconds.

How does the system react?

The Allison fault code number is: P0123. The fault code can only be set if the engine speed is greater than 200 rpm. The fault code is cleared automatically when the vehicle has completed 40 start-up cycles without the fault being detected again.
