The drive mode selector is not an Allison J1939 drive mode selector or is not an approved OEM drive mode selector.
What causes Scania DTC 49924?
- Incorrect drive mode selector. - Incorrect calibration in the control unit.
How does the system react?
The Allison fault code number is: U0304. The fault code is set when the drive mode selector has detected that the drive mode selector is not an Allison J1939 or that it is not an approved OEM gear selector. The control unit ignores the information from the drive mode selector. The control unit shuts off gear changing adaptation. The fault code is cleared automatically when the vehicle has completed 40 start-up cycles without the fault being detected again.
