What does Scania BVDR fault code 41040 mean?
The tachograph has detected that there is not enough paper in the tacho chart holder.
What causes Scania DTC 41040?
There is no paper left in the tacho chart holder or it is about to run out.
How does the system react?
A warning is displayed in the instrument cluster. The tachograph display shows a warning and the code 06 for this fault code.

Top up the paper in the tacho chart holder.
