What causes Scania DTC 656?

- Hardware fault. - Susceptible to electromagnetic radiation.

How does the system react?

The software is restarted. Then the system should function as normal.

How to fix Scania DAS fault code 656?

  1. The risk of faults in electronic units increases if there is high electromagnetic radiation in the vicinity of the vehicle.
  2. Examples of such surroundings are:
  3. Radar stations.
  4. Switchgear.
  5. Substations.
  6. Steelworks.
  7. Electric welding appliances.
  8. There is also a risk of problems if non-approved equipment is fitted in the vehicle.
  9. Clear the fault code.
  10. Turn the power off and on with the starter key.
  11. If fault codes recur, check for electrical equipment that does not comply with the applicable EU directive for EMC.
  12. Disconnect it.
  13. If the fault code recurs, renew the control unit.
