What causes Scania DTC 1249891?

There is interference in the communication between the control unit and the control module. This may be due to: - Fault in cable harness or connections between the control module and control unit. - Incorrectly fitted accessories, for example radio communication equipment, which interferes with the signal between the control module and the control unit. - Fault on the power supply. - Fault in the control module. - Fault in the control unit.

How to fix Scania EBS fault code 1249891?

  1. Check the cable harness and connections for damage and prohibited connections.
  2. Check both the control module and the control unit.
  3. Repair or renew if necessary.
  4. Check if it is possible to clear the fault code. - -
  5. If there is a fault code for a specific control module only and it is not possible to clear the fault code: Renew the control module in question. -
  6. If there are fault codes for more than one control module: disconnect one control module at a time and check the fault codes each time.
  7. If a fault code becomes inactive when a specific control module is disconnected, renew the control module and check if the fault codes can be cleared.
  8. If it is still not possible to clear the fault codes for a specific control module, renew the control unit.
