What does Scania EEC fault code 4385 mean?

Fault in the voltage supply to NOx sensor T131 upstream of the SCR catalytic converter.

What causes Scania DTC 4385?

Electrical fault in the NOx sensor T131 power supply circuit upstream of the SCR catalytic converter. Short circuit to ground in the circuit.

How does the system react?

The fault affects the engine's emissions of nitrogen oxides. Depending on the emission class, it will result in torque reduction, speed limitation and a warning indication.

How to fix Scania EEC fault code 4385?

  1. Check the harness-to-harness connector or cable harness between exhaust gas aftertreatment control unit E67 and NOx sensor control unit T131.
  2. There is information about the electrical cables and pins on the control unit to which the component is connected in the diagnostic tool under the Check tab for the relevant component, or Workshop Manual section 03-35 Electronic control system, E67.
  3. To verify that the fault has been rectified: Turn off the voltage with the starter key, wait until the button for the traffic warning light has gone out, and then turn it on again.
  4. If the fault is resolved, the fault code becomes inactive.
  5. Clear the fault code.
  6. If it doesn't help, change the NOx-sensor.
  7. The NOx-sensor only has to be plugged in electrically to verify that the fault has been resolved.
