What does Scania EEC fault code 8331 mean?
Fault in reductant pump control.
What causes Scania DTC 8331?
Electrical fault in the reductant pump control circuit.
How does the system react?
The reductant pump is shut down, which results in higher exhaust emissions. The fault leads to the flow of reductant in the SCR system being shut off. This affects the cooling of the reductant doser. Combined with high exhaust temperatures this can result in permanent damage to the reductant doser.
How to fix Scania EEC fault code 8331?
- Check the reductant pump control circuit.
- Under the Check tab, you will find more information about the electrical cables and pins on the control unit to which the component is connected.

- To deactivate the fault code:
- Turn the power off and on with the starter key.
- Run the Exhaust gas aftertreatment, troubleshooting of the SCR system's liquid components wizard.
