What causes Scania DTC 160529?

- Short circuit to ground or open circuit in the voltage supply circuit. - Low battery capacity. - Faulty direct current converter.

A yellow warning indication is displayed.

How to fix Scania EHS fault code 160529?

  1. Check whether there are any related fault codes in the CMS control unit.
  2. Compare the supply voltage for the electrohydraulic power steering pump with the battery voltage in the vehicle.
  3. If the battery voltage is normal: check the cable harness between the battery and electrohydraulic power steering pump.
  4. If the battery voltage is also lower than expected: check the status of the batteries.
  5. Check the direct current converter.
