What does Scania EMD fault code 53760 mean?
A fault has been detected in CAN communication between EMS control unit E44 and GSC control unit E131.
What causes Scania DTC 53760?
- The fault code can be activated via spare parts programming. - Fault in the harness-to-component connectors or cable harness between the EMS control unit and GSC control unit.
How does the system react?
The engine management system’s request for a fuel supply does not reach the GSC control unit, which means that the engine does not receive any fuel. If the fault code is activated when driving, the engine will be provided with fuel until the driver switches off the engine. The fuel supply is then switched off until the fault has been rectified. A yellow warning indication is displayed.
How to fix Scania EMD fault code 53760?
- Delete the fault code and start the engine.
- Switch the power off and on several times with the starter key.
- If the fault code is generated again, check fault codes related to the GSC control unit.
- Check harness-to-component connectors and cable harness between the EMS control unit and GSC control unit.
