What does Scania EMD fault code 5853 mean?
Reductant volume adaptation has reached the maximum end position.
What causes Scania DTC 5853?
- Poor quality or low concentration of reductant. - Blocked catalytic converter. - Fault in the measurement of the gas flow. - Reductant doser V117 blocked. - Fault in NOx sensor T115 or T131. - Exhaust gas leakage between the reductant doser and silencer.
How does the system react?
The fault affects the engine's emissions of nitrogen oxides. Depending on the emission class, it will result in torque reduction, speed limitation and a warning indication.
How to fix Scania EMD fault code 5853?
