What does Scania EMO fault code 1071 mean?
The EGR valve is not reaching its required position within the time stipulated.
What causes Scania DTC 1071?
- The EGR valve not being able to open due to a leaking compressed air line, upstream of the valve block or between it and the EGR valve. - The EGR actuator being stuck due to a mechanical problem. - Fault on valve block V107. - The EGR valve position sensor T124 not working.
How does the system react?
Can result in impaired driveability or fuel consumption, or increased emissions, with torque limitation as a result. How to fix Scania EMO fault code 1071?
- Check the EGR valve actuator and check that the valve can move easily.
- Check that the EGR valve can open completely.
- Compare the signal from the position sensor with the actual position.
- Check the compressed air supply upstream of valve block V107 and between the valve block and EGR valve.
- Check the EGR valve position sensor T124 and the circuit’s harness-to-harness connectors and electrical cables.
- After renewing the control cylinder, EGR valve or position sensor T124, always run Resetting and calibrating of the EGR circuit.
