What does Scania EMO fault code 279 mean?

The voltage in the circuit has been below the permitted level.

What causes Scania DTC 279?

Short circuit to earth.

How does the system react?

The engine power is reduced. The torque is reduced to protect the engine. The fault code cannot be cleared when it is active.

What are the symptoms?

A cold engine may be difficult to start and idling is uneven because the engine cannot engage the cold start position.

How to fix Scania EMO fault code 279?

Check the circuit components, harness-to-component connector and cable harness.
