What does Scania EMU fault code 3160 mean?
The control unit indicates that the pre-charge resistor contactor is stuck in the closed position.
What causes Scania DTC 3160?
- Fault in cable harness or connector. - Contactor fault. - Fault in control unit E159.
How does the system react?
A yellow warning indication is displayed.
What are the symptoms?
The electric power take-off does not work.
How to fix Scania EMU fault code 3160?
- Check the cable harness, connectors, contactor and control unit.
- Check if the contactor can be opened and closed.
- Replace the contactor.
- Replace control unit E159.
