What causes Scania DTC 773?

- Open circuit in voltage supply to EMS control unit. - EMS control unit is not connected to the red CAN bus. - The coordinator is not connected to the yellow or red CAN bus. - The instrument cluster is not connected to the yellow CAN bus. - Incorrect parameter settings in the instrument cluster.

How does the system react?

Red control indicator for the engine lights up.

How to fix Scania ICL fault code 773?

  1. Check fault codes from the EMS control unit.
  2. If no fault codes can be read from the EMS control unit:
  3. Check the voltage supply and 15 voltage to the EMS control unit.
  4. Check the EMS control unit connections to the red CAN bus.
  5. Check connections and cable harness for the red CAN bus.
  6. Check connections and cable harness for the yellow CAN bus.
  7. Disconnect the battery and then measure the resistance between CAN High and CAN Low for both the yellow and red CAN buses (should be approx.
  8. 60 ohms).
  9. Perform spare parts programming of the instrument cluster.

  2. Check the red CAN bus cable harness and harness-to-harness connectors.
  3. Check the EOL parameter settings in the instrument cluster.
