What does Scania OPC fault code 14030 mean?
No acknowledgement of completed backward movement. Only generated if the vehicle is in motion and with sufficient air pressure.
What causes Scania DTC 14030?
- Broken solenoid valve for longitudinal stroke backwards in solenoid valve block V112. - Leaks in sticking solenoid valves for longitudinal stroke operation neutral or forwards in solenoid valve block V112. - Incomplete pressure equalisation for solenoid valve block V112. - Air leakage in the seal between solenoid valve block V112 and the longitudinal stroke cylinder. - Rear longitudinal stroke piston is stuck in the end position. - Gearbox oil has entered the damper. - Water has entered the damper and frozen at low temperatures. - The gear selector hits several selector shafts at the same time and movement is prevented by the coulisse. - Internal fault in the gearbox.

How to fix Scania OPC fault code 14030?
- Check that solenoid valve longitudinal stroke rearwards in solenoid valve block V112 is working.
- Check that the pressure equalisation for solenoid valve block V112 is working.
- Check O-rings between solenoid valve block V112 and the longitudinal stroke cylinder.
- Check the seals of the longitudinal stroke pistons and lubrication of the longitudinal stroke cylinder.
- Check the damper after contamination with gearbox oil or water and check the lateral stroke shaft seal to the inside of the gearbox.
- Check the yoke's position compared with the gear selector.
- Check that the gear selector has not become stuck and that the locking pin between the gear selector and the lateral stroke shaft is undamaged.
- If the fault persists, check the inner components of the gearbox:
- Check the gear position latch by hand.
- Check the attachment of the gear shift fork on the gear shift shaft.
- Check to see if there is an unusual amount of wear to the selector fork pin and synchromesh.
