What does Scania SRR fault code 12583175 mean?
The control unit detects no communication with the DAS control unit.
What causes Scania DTC 12583175?
- Short circuit between CAN high and CAN low on the CAN bus. - CAN high is short-circuited to ground. - CAN low is short-circuited to voltage supply. - Fault with another control unit on the CAN bus.
How does the system react?
The functionality of the short-range radar is degraded.
What are the symptoms?
- The control unit cannot receive or send messages on the CAN bus. - Functions dependent on information from other control units on the CAN bus are not functioning correctly.
How to fix Scania SRR fault code 12583175?
- Check whether other units on the orange CAN bus have active fault codes.
- If so, rectify these first.
- Faults with electrical components in other systems may cause a short circuit on the CAN bus.
- Check the control unit connection to the CAN bus.

- Disconnect one control unit at a time from the CAN bus.
- If the fault code is deactivated, the fault is probably in the disconnected control unit.
