What does Scania ABS fault code 85 mean?

Break in the wheel circuit on the left-hand side of the third axle.

What causes Scania DTC 85?

Damage to the wheel speed sensor or its cable harness.

How does the system react?

ABS, TC and hill hold function cease to function, if applicable. The warning lamp comes on.

How to fix Scania ABS fault code 85?

  1. Check the wheel speed sensor and its cable harness.
  2. The resistance between the wheel speed sensor pins must be 1,000-1,300 ohms.
  3. Check the control unit assembly part number if the fault occurs after renewing the control unit and fault codes 101, 181 and 197 are generated.
