What does Scania ACS fault code 36 mean?

What causes Scania DTC 36?

The BWE control unit is not working properly, or fault in communication via the yellow or red CAN bus.

How does the system react?

When the fault code is active, the ACS warning indication is displayed. Limp home mode will be activated.
