What does Scania LAS fault code 36 mean?
The siren has lost communication with the alarm control unit.
What causes Scania DTC 36?
The fault can be caused by the following: - Short circuit to ground. - Open circuit in the communication cable between the alarm control unit and the siren - The siren is not connected
How does the system react?
When the alarm is activated via the remote control, the fault is indicated as follows: - The direction indicators flash rapidly. - The LED flashes rapidly for 5 seconds. - There is no confirmation signal from the siren.
How to fix Scania LAS fault code 36?
- 1.
- Check harness-to-harness connectors and cabling.
- 2.
- Check that pin B-10 is not connected to earth.
- 3.
- Check that the supply voltage on harness-to-harness connector C78-10 and pin N9-1 is 24 V (the alarm control unit must be connected).
- 4.
- Check that the back-up voltage on harness-to-harness connector C78-11 and pin N9-2 is 10-13.6 V (the siren must be connected).
- 5.
- Check that the voltage on harness-to-harness connector C78-12 and pin N9-3 is 12 V (the siren must be connected).
- 6.
- Check that harness-to-harness connector C78-13 and pin N9-4 are earthed (the alarm control unit must be connected).
