What are the symptoms?

The infotainment system cannot be activated via gestures in front of the screen. Functions connected to the proximity sensor are degraded.

How to fix Scania AUS fault code 69?

  1. Restart the infotainment system using the Restarting the infotainment system wizard.
  2. Check to see if the fault code recurs.
  3. Check that the proximity sensor is activated in the infotainment system.
  4. Activate the infotainment system screen saver and move a hand in front of the screen.
  5. If the screen comes on, the proximity sensor is working as it should.
  6. Check that the control unit has the latest software.
  7. If the proximity sensor is not working and the control unit has the latest software, renew the infotainment system.
  8. The proximity sensor cannot be renewed separately.

Detection

Internal fault in the control unit/infotainment system.

System reaction

The system will be unable to detect gestures in front of the proximity sensor. Functions connected to the proximity sensor will be degraded. The other functions of the electronic control unit are not affected.

How to fix

Renew the electronic control unit.
