What does Scania AUS fault code 63 mean?
Voltage too low in the circuit for USB port 2.
What causes Scania DTC 63?
- Short circuit in the circuit for USB port 2. - Fault with connected unit.
What are the symptoms?
No communication is possible between the infotainment system and the connected unit.
How to fix Scania AUS fault code 63?
- Disconnect the USB connection between the infotainment system and Scania Communicator.
- Check if the fault code has become inactive.
- If the fault code becomes inactive: The fault is probably with the Scania Communicator.
- Continue troubleshooting there.
- If the fault code is still active: Check the circuit between the USB harness-to-component connector and USB port 2 of the infotainment system (blue connector) for a short circuit.
Variant 2: USB 2, internal fault

Excess current in USB port 2.
Possible cause
Possible causes: - Fault on the harness-to-component connector - Fault in the cable harness
System reaction
No communication is possible between the infotainment system and the connected unit.
How to fix
- Check for any short-circuit between the USB harness-to-component connector and USB port 2 of the infotainment system (blue harness-to-component connector).
- Check for a short-circuit between the USB harness-to-component connector and Scania Communicator.
- Check for a short-circuit in the rest of the USB cable harness between the infotainment system and Scania Communicator.
