What does Scania AWD fault code 5000 mean?
The supply voltage has been above 35 V.
What causes Scania DTC 5000?
Jump start has probably been used and supplied a voltage that is too high to the electrical system for a short period of time. Components or cable harnesses may be faulty.
How does the system react?
No solenoid valves will be actuated as long as the voltage is too high. The ones that had already been activated will remain so. When this fault is active, it prevents the generation of fault codes for the solenoid valves.
How to fix Scania AWD fault code 5000?
- If jump start has been used, clear the fault code and check that the fault does not recur.
- Otherwise check alternator, battery, connectors and cable harness.
