What does Scania OPC fault code 5000 mean?
The 30 voltage to the control unit has been above 35 V.
What causes Scania DTC 5000?
Jump start has probably been used and has supplied a voltage that is too high to the electrical system for a short period of time. Components or cable harnesses may be faulty.
How does the system react?
The system goes into "Locked gear" mode but returns to normal drive position when the voltage reaches a permitted value. When this fault is active, it prevents the generation of fault codes for the solenoid valves.
How to fix Scania OPC fault code 5000?
- If jump start device has been used, clear the fault code and check that the fault does not recur.
- Otherwise check alternator, battery, harness-to-component connector and cable harness.
