What causes Scania DTC 539?

The BIC program is using a signal which does not exist in the vehicle configuration. The following signal types can cause the fault: - Input signal - Output signal - Information signal - Function request

How does the system react?

The BIC program is deactivated. A yellow BWE warning indication is displayed.

How to fix Scania BCI fault code 539?

  1. Use BICT to rectify the fault in the BIC program.
  2. Run the Edit BIC programs wizard.
  3. Check for validation faults in BICT via the validation tab.
  4. Update the BIC program in the BCI control unit.
  5. Reset the system by switching the voltage off and on using the starter key.
  6. Check that the fault code has been reset.

Detection

Possible cause

The BIC program is using a signal that does not exist in the vehicle configuration. The fault may be caused by the following signal types: - Input signal - Output signal - Information signal - Function request

System reaction

The BIC program is deactivated. A yellow BWE warning indication is displayed.

How to fix

  1. Use BICT to rectify the fault in the BIC program.
