The RTC control unit has not received any CAN messages from the BCS control unit within the time expected.
What causes Scania DTC 779?
- Fault in the CAN bus or its cable harness. - Fault in the BCS control unit.
What are the symptoms?
Vehicle and driver data from the BCS control unit is not being displayed correctly in the fleet management system or via remote diagnostics.
How to fix Scania COMMUNICATOR fault code 779?
- Check for active fault codes in other control units on the yellow CAN bus affecting communication with the BCS control unit.
- Check the CAN bus and its cable harness.
- Check the BCS control unit and its CAN connection.
