What does Scania COO fault code 56 mean?
The signal from the dual-circuit steering circuit 2 has been implausible in relation to the vehicle speed.
What causes Scania DTC 56?
The signal has been inactive (24 V) at the same time as the vehicle speed has been lower than 1 km/h. The active signal in this case is earthing, which means that an inactive signal corresponds to 24 V. The fault can be due to the circuit being either shorted or open.
How does the system react?
The control lamp for dual-circuit steering malfunction in circuit 2 is lit in the instrument cluster.
