Fault in the steering angle sensor.
What causes Scania DTC 808?
- The sensor is not correctly fitted to the steering column. - Internal fault in the sensor.

Functions dependent on the steering angle sensor will be degraded (e.g. lane departure warning).
How to fix Scania COO fault code 808?
- Check that the sensor is correctly fitted to the steering column.
- Check the voltage supply to the sensor.
- Clear the fault code and check if it recurs.
- Calibrate the sensor.
- If the fault persists, check the steering angle sensor and its function.

How to fix
- Carry out the following steps:
- Check that the sensor is correctly fitted to the steering column.
- Check that the sensor is properly connected.
- Clear the fault code and check if it recurs.
- Calibrate the sensor.
- If the fault code remains despite carrying out earlier steps, renew the sensor.
Variant 5: Electrohydraulic pump for power steering
Applies to: COO7
Detection
There is a short circuit to voltage or an open circuit on the PWM signal from the electrohydraulic pump for power steering (control unit pin A19).
Possible cause
The fault may be due to: - Short circuit to voltage or open circuit in the cable harness. - Defective harness-to-component connectors.
System reaction
The control unit interprets this to mean that the electrohydraulic pump is constantly active.
How to fix
Check the cable harness and harness-to-component connector.
