What causes Scania DTC 806?

The cause may be any of the following: - The steering angle sensor is not connected to the CAN sub data bus. - The steering angle sensor has no voltage supply. - Fault in the steering angle sensor.

Functions dependent on the steering angle sensor will be degraded (e.g. lane departure warning).

How to fix Scania COO fault code 806?

  1. Check the connection between CAN and the steering angle sensor.
  2. Check the voltage supply to the steering angle sensor.
  3. Check the CAN sub data bus cable harness and connector.
  4. Disconnect the battery.
  5. Measure the resistance between the control unit's pin C5 and pin C14.
  6. The resistance should be close to 60 ohms (due to the two termination resistors on the CAN bus).
  7. If the fault persists, renew the steering angle sensor.
