  3. Measure the frequency between signal and ground.

Variant 2: Communication with the SMS control unit

Detection

Communication with the SMS control unit on the yellow CAN bus is interrupted.

Possible cause

Faulty SMS control unit. The SMS control unit has no communication on the CAN bus.

System reaction

Functions dependent on the suspension management system are impaired.

How to fix

  1. Check the fault codes in the suspension management system.
  2. Check the voltage supply and CAN communication to the suspension management system.
  3. Measure the resistance between pins C16 and C7 with the battery disconnected.
  4. Resistance should be around 60 ohms.
  5. (Due to the two termination resistors connected in parallel.)
