What causes Scania DTC 806?

The cause may be any of the following: - The steering angle sensor is not connected to the CAN bus. - The steering angle sensor has no electric power supply. - Faulty steering angle sensor.

How does the system react?

Functions dependent on the steering angle sensor will be degraded (e.g. lane departure warning).

How to fix Scania DAS fault code 806?

  1. Carry out the following steps: Check the connection between the CAN bus and the steering angle sensor.
  2. Check the voltage supply to the steering angle sensor.
  3. Check the connections and connectors to the CAN bus.
  4. Measure the resistance (with the battery disconnected) between control unit pins B1 and B10.
  5. The resistance should be close to 60 ohms (due to the two termination resistors on the CAN bus).
  6. If nothing else works, renew the steering angle sensor.
