What causes Scania DTC 783620?

- Open circuit in voltage supply to the DAS control unit. - The DAS control unit is not connected to the CAN network. - Error on the CAN bus for Driver Support. - The EAS control has not received a message from the DAS control unit within 250 MS.

How does the system react?

Electrically assisted steering cannot be affected by other systems via CAN.

How to fix Scania EAS fault code 783620?

  1. Check the fault codes in the DAS control unit.
  2. Check the CAN bus cable harness and connections.
  3. Note: If there are any related faults in other control units on the CAN bus, the fault is probably in the DAS control unit.
  4. If there are more related faults in the EAS control unit, the fault is probably in the CAN bus cable harness near the EAS control unit.

Message, EASC3 not received for a duration > 250 ms. The DTC will set during the following condition: 1.system state: NMWait, PreDrive, DriveDown, DriveUp, PostRun, Off, Error, Flash, LowVolt. 2.system voltage is above 16v. 3.system voltage is below 32v.

Possible cause

1. CAN Bus communication failure. 2. The sending ECU is defect.
