What does Scania EBS fault code 24609 mean?

The voltage has been outside the allowed range.

What causes Scania DTC 24609?

Short circuit to ground, which can be due to: - Damaged cable harness. - Faulty control unit.

How does the system react?

The yellow warning lamp comes on and the electronically controlled user functions for the trailer are switched off.

How to fix Scania EBS fault code 24609?

  1. Clear the fault code.
  2. Then check the connections and cable harness between the control unit and the trailer control module.
  3. Detach harness-to-component connector D from the control unit and the connection to the trailer control module.
  4. Check the cable harness for short circuit to earth.
  5. Connect the trailer control module and check for a short circuit between pin D4 and the system earth (pin A11 and pin A12).
