What does Scania EMO fault code 1161 mean?
Valve block V107 has an electrical fault.
What causes Scania DTC 1161?
- Open circuit or short circuit to ground or battery in circuit for valve block V107. - The valve block contacts, harness-to-harness connectors or electrical cables being defective or disconnected.
How does the system react?
When a fault code is generated, the engine control unit switches off the EGR circuit. The fault affects the engine's nitrous oxide emissions. Depending on the emission class, it will result in torque reduction, speed limitation or a warning indication. The fault code cannot be deleted when it is active.
How to fix Scania EMO fault code 1161?
Check the valve block V107 along with the circuit components, harness-to-harness connectors and electrical cables.
