What causes Scania DTC 1027?

EGR valve stuck in closed position.

What are the symptoms?

- Increased emission of particulates. - There is a risk of smoke.

How to fix Scania EMS fault code 1027?

  1. Check if there are more fault codes for the valve block related to EGR.
  2. Check that the supply pressure to the valve block is above 7.5 bar.
  3. Check the activation of the EGR valve by activating the valve and listening for knocks.
  4. If knocks are heard, run an EGR circuit check.
  5. If the fault code has been removed, the EGR valve is working properly.
  6. If the fault code recurs, renew the EGR valve.
  7. To verify that the fault has been rectified and delete the fault code: Check the EGR circuit again.
