What does Scania EMS fault code 4358 mean?
The signal from the engine speed sensor has been incorrect from the beginning.
What causes Scania DTC 4358?
Implausible signal from the engine speed sensor. The fault code may be generated when starting in extremely cold weather or with a poor battery.
How does the system react?
If fault code 4352 has been registered but not fault code 4608, the maximum engine torque is reduced by 30% as long as the fault is active. In addition, the engine's high idle speed is lower than usual. If both rotational speed sensors are faulty, the engine will shut down.
How to fix Scania EMS fault code 4358?
- Check the rotational speed sensors, harness-to-harness connectors and electrical cables.
- Check the battery voltage.
