The voltage in the solenoid valve circuit that controls the wastegate valve has been incorrect.
What causes Scania DTC 53?
The turbocharger wastegate valve is controlled by a solenoid valve (V109), which receives signals from the engine management system. Short circuit to current carrying cable in solenoid valve circuit.
How does the system react?
The charge air pressure is regulated incorrectly, risk of overcharging.
