The control unit is supplied with a voltage which exceeds 32 V.

- Fault in the alternator. - Jump start has been used.
How to fix Scania EST fault code 616?
- If the vehicle has started with a jump start, this fault code can be ignored.
- Measure the battery terminal voltage with the engine running and compare to the supply voltage (read with the diagnostic tool).
- Check the function of the alternator.
