What causes Scania DTC 1280?

Software download for the database or for the program is interrupted. Checksum not calculated after download of new EE parameters. Flash memory damage.

How does the system react?

Test carried out when the starter key is turned to the drive position. Note that no warning about the fault code is given, it can only be detected when the fault codes are read from the instrument cluster.

How to fix Scania ICL fault code 1280?

  1. Spare parts program the control unit.
  2. Turn the key to the drive position so that the checksum is calculated.
  3. Renew the instrument cluster.
