What does Scania MBS fault code 647 mean?
No communication with expansion unit D after initiation.
What causes Scania DTC 647?
- The expansion unit has been incorrectly installed during production. - Expansion unit is incorrectly connected. - Fault in expansion unit.
How does the system react?
- A yellow warning indication is displayed. - Functions in the MBS control unit that depend on information from the expansion unit may have degraded. - The expansion unit light-emitting diodes indicate current status. What are the symptoms?
- Functions connected to expansion unit D are not functioning correctly. - The door buttons are not working.
How to fix Scania MBS fault code 647?
- Check the expansion unit fuse, cable harness and connections.
- See the expansion unit light-emitting diodes that are indicating active faults.
- Orange light-emitting diode flashes three times: update the software.
- Yellow light-emitting diode is inactive or flickers: check the CAN bus's cable harness and harness-to-component connector.
