What does Scania MBS fault code 782 mean?
Short circuit to earth detected in the voltage supply to the centre right-hand door sensor.
What causes Scania DTC 782?
The voltage supply to the sensor for the centre right-hand door sensor has a short circuit to earth. The fault may be caused by a short circuit in the cable harness or harness-to-component connectors for the 24 V voltage supply from CN3-2 (node L) from expansion unit E6049.
How does the system react?
- The instrument cluster indicates an open circuit for all hatches connected to the same voltage supply. - The instrument cluster displays the hatches as open.
What are the symptoms?
The bus stop brake may be applied or engine start prevented because the hatches are indicated as open.
How to fix Scania MBS fault code 782?
- Check the cable harness for the supply voltage from CN3-2, E6049.
- Check the harness-to-component connector for the supply voltage from CN3-2, E6049.
