What causes Scania DTC 40985?
- Fault in the cable harness between the control unit and actuator for air distribution between panel and floor. - Fault in actuator for air distribution between panel and floor.
What are the symptoms?
The actuator cannot control the air distribution damper. This can affect the cab climate. Components on the LIN bus are connected to the control unit in series via harness-to-harness connectors. A fault in components connected to the cable harness earlier can therefore affect the functionality of components connected later.
How to fix Scania MCC fault code 40985?
- Check the cable harness between the control unit and the actuator for air distribution between panel and floor.
- If no fault is found, replace the actuator.
