What does Scania MCC fault code 40992 mean?
Communication fault between the control unit and the LIN bus.
What causes Scania DTC 40992?
- Fault in components connected to the LIN bus. - Fault in the LIN bus cable harness. - Fault in a control unit or harness-to-harness connector that is connected to the LIN bus.
What are the symptoms?
Components that are connected to the LIN bus will not work correctly. Components on the LIN bus are connected to the control unit in series via harness-to-harness connectors. A fault in components connected to the cable harness earlier can therefore affect the functionality of components connected later.
How to fix Scania MCC fault code 40992?
- Check whether there are active fault codes related to faults in components that are connected to the LIN bus.
- Rectify those fault codes first.
- Check the cable harness to the LIN bus.
