What causes Scania DTC 11040?

Components or cable harnesses may be defective or have a loose connection. If fault codes 11040, 11041, 11050, 11051 and 11060 have been generated, there is probably an open circuit on the CAN cable to the GMS control unit.

How does the system react?

This can result in a degradation of the Opticruise function.

How to fix Scania OPC fault code 11040?

  1. Check CAN connections, harness-to-harness connectors and cable harnesses.
  2. Also check the engine control unit.
