What does Scania OPC fault code 14002 mean?
No acknowledgement from the sensor that the lateral stroke has been completed.
What causes Scania DTC 14002?
The spring could not push the layshaft back to the middle position.
How does the system react?
The system cannot engage the required gear.
How to fix Scania OPC fault code 14002?
- Check sensors, harness-to-harness connectors and cable harness.
- Also check gearbox mechanically.
Variant 2: Lateral stroke
Applies to: OPC5 (OPC5 ECA)
Detection
Centre position expected but side position still has an acknowledgement even though no signal is sent to any solenoid valve for lateral stroke.
Possible cause
- Position sensor T108 or position sensor pin is loose. - Incomplete pressure equalisation for solenoid valve block V112. - The spring screw or spring cover has not reached the bottom. - The spring housing is loose. - Incorrectly fitted lateral stroke cylinder on the lateral stroke shaft. - The lateral stroke shaft splines are damaged which prevents the lateral stroke shaft from moving. - The gear selector is stuck outside the neutral position. - Poorly greased lateral stroke piston.
System reaction
The system cannot engage the required gear.
How to fix
- Check the attachment for position sensor T108.
- Check that the pressure equalisation for solenoid valve block V112 is working.
- Check the attachment of the lateral stroke spring, spring housing and spring cover.
- Check that the splines on the lateral stroke shaft are undamaged and that the yoke can move freely.
- Check lubrication of the lateral stroke piston.
- Check the free movement of the gear selector.
