What does Scania OPC fault code 14010 mean?
No acknowledgement of completed movement.
What causes Scania DTC 14010?
There may be a fault or a loose connection in components or in a cable harness. A mechanical fault may have occurred.
How does the system react?
The required gear is not supplied, or is not acknowledged by the system. The fault code is not generated on a stationary vehicle. It is generated when the time taken for the gear-changing movement exceeds the time limit.
How to fix Scania OPC fault code 14010?
- Check the sensor, the solenoid valve, pneumatic cylinder, connector and cable harness.
- Check the gearshift mechanism.
Variant 2: Lateral stroke
Applies to: OPC5 (OPC5 ECA)
Detection
No acknowledgement of completed movement to the right.
Possible cause
- Low air pressure to the gearbox. - Defective solenoid valve for lateral stroke right in solenoid valve block V112. - Air leakage in connecting hose between solenoid valve block V112 and cylinder housing. - Position sensor T108 or the position sensor pin is loose. - The spring screw has not reached the bottom. - The lateral stroke shaft splines are damaged which prevents the lateral stroke shaft from moving. - The gear selector is stuck outside the neutral position. - The gear selector locking pin has come loose and become wedged against the surrounding parts. - Poorly greased lateral stroke piston.
System reaction
The system will not engage the required gear.
How to fix
- Ensure that there is a sufficient air supply to the gearbox by running the Checking air pressure in the powertrain circuit wizard.
- Check that solenoid valve lateral stroke right in solenoid valve block V112 is working.
- Check the air connection between solenoid valve block V112 and cylinder housing.
- Check the attachment of position sensor T108 and the attachment of the corresponding position sensor pin.
- Check that the spring screw has been tightened correctly.
- Check that the splines on the lateral stroke shaft are undamaged and that the yoke can move freely.
- Check that the gear selector has not become stuck and that the locking pin between the gear selector and the lateral stroke shaft is undamaged.
- Check lubrication of the lateral stroke piston.
