What does Scania OPC fault code 14061 mean?

Loss of acknowledgement for low range.

What causes Scania DTC 14061?

- Worn selector shaft interlock groove on the selector shaft. - Blocked solenoid valve block venting. - Fault in the range gear position sensor. - Internal fault in the gearbox: - Worn locking units between coupling disc and coupling sleeve for low range.

How does the system react?

The system retains the current target gear and attempts to engage the gear again.

How to fix Scania OPC fault code 14061?

  1. Check that the groove for the selector shaft interlock on the selector shaft is not worn.
  2. Check the attachment of the iron pin in the range gear position sensor.
  3. Check that the venting for the solenoid valve block is working.
  4. If the fault persists, check the inner components of the gearbox.
  5. Check locking units for coupling disc and coupling sleeve for low range.
  6. Check that the retarder support bearing is correctly fitted.
  7. Check that the cone and range fork are intact and that the sun wheel screw is tightened correctly.
