What does Scania SC fault code 11136 mean?
A deviation between UTC time and the specified time for satellite positioning has been detected.
What causes Scania DTC 11136?
- Fault in the tachograph's internal time. - Manipulation of satellite positioning.
How does the system react?
The event is stored in the tachograph and in the digital tachograph card. A warning is displayed in the instrument cluster.
How to fix Scania SC fault code 11136?
- Make sure that no manipulation of satellite positioning is occurring.
- Use the tachograph calibration equipment and the instructions covering checking of the satellite positioning.

Detection
A discrepancy has been detected between UTC time in the tachograph and the time specified in the signal for satellite positioning.
Possible cause
The tachograph's internal time indication differs from that of the satellite positioning. The fault can occur if the UTC time in the tachograph is adjusted using a control device that incorrectly indicates time. The tachograph then receives an internal time indication that deviates from the time indication received in the satellite positioning signal.
System reaction
- The event is logged in the tachograph and on the digital tachograph card, and appears as event 0B on the printout. - A warning is displayed in the instrument cluster. - The tachograph automatically adjusts internal UTC time by 1 second/day. Depending on its size, the deviation may take many days to correct; there is nothing wrong with the tachograph.
How to fix
- Make sure that there has been no unauthorised tampering.
- Use the tachograph calibration equipment and the instructions covering checking of the satellite positioning.
- If the deviation exceeds 5 minutes, the tachograph will need to be recalibrated.
- The recommendation is to adjust internal UTC time using properly adjusted control equipment if the deviation exceeds 4 minutes.
- NOTE: To ensure the control equipment is accurately indicating time, it must be connected to the internet and be set to UTC time with an accuracy of 1 second or better.
