What does Scania SVIP fault code 1281 mean?
- No vehicle data is received in the software for the RTI unit. - Instruments in the software for the RTI unit are not working.
What causes Scania DTC 1281?
- Fault on CAN bus wiring or connections. - Fault on CAN software or CAN hardware for the RTI unit.
How does the system react?
The starter key is registered in the drive position, but no CAN data is received on the vehicle's CAN bus.
How to fix Scania SVIP fault code 1281?
- Check whether other units are receiving CAN data.
- Start up the system using the following procedure:
- Exit the program.
- Switch off the power.
- Press the On/Off button on the RTI unit for at least four seconds.
- (An acoustic signal is heard.)
- Wait at least five seconds.
- Then switch on the power and start the RTI unit.
- Check the wiring to the CAN bus and the wiring to the RTI unit.
