What does Scania TMS fault code 290 mean?
High engine temperature with calculated value.
What causes Scania DTC 290?
- Incorrect clutch actuator. - Mechanical fault in the clutch or the clutch lever system. - Extreme ambient temperature
How does the system react?
- A yellow warning indication is displayed. - If the vehicle is stationary when the fault occurs: neutral position is activated, which prevents the vehicle from being driven further. - If the vehicle is driving when the fault occurs: the gear continues in locked position. Neutral (N) is activated when the vehicle slows to a stop. This prevents the vehicle from being driven further.
How to fix Scania TMS fault code 290?
- Check the clutch control.
- Check the cable harness.
